Therapy Operations Assistant
Alex Soria, OTS
Alex was born and raised in Salinas, CA and moved to Missoula, MT in 2013 for college. In 2017 she graduated with her Bachelor's in Psychology, with a minor in anthropology, from the University of Montana in Missoula, MT. After graduating, she has worked with adolescents in a variety of settings over the past 8 years, including group home care, in-school support, and currently, within adolescent psychiatric inpatient care.
After years thinking that she would become a social worker, Alex discovered occupational therapy and became a believer that this was her calling to help others in their pursuit of improving their quality of life. She deepened her interest in occupational therapy, particularly after her grandfather suffered a stroke.
Alex is currently furthering her education at the University of Montana as a member of the first cohort of the Occupational Therapy Doctorate program, graduating class of 2028. She is interested in learning more about neonatal and pediatric care, neuroscience and neurorehabilitation, animal-assisted therapy, and aquatic therapy, though she is open-minded to what she will be exposed to in these next few years!
Alex loves spending time at home with her fiance and their two dogs, Xiba and Zula. She enjoys working out at the gym, walking her dogs, watching anime, and relaxing with coloring, journaling, and reading.
Alex is excited to be a member of Big Sky MOT and to support her community.
